Miles of Hope is a 5k run and 2 mile walk to raise money for Type 1 Diabetes research. It is founded and organized by a group of parents who are dedicated to supporting research toward a CURE for their children living with type 1 diabetes. Proceeds from Miles of Hope will benefit the The Faustman Lab at Mass General in Boston.

Participants can register and join us on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Lake of the Woods forest preserve.
Our family-friendly 2 mile walk consists of two loops around a 0.9 mile path, followed by music, food, face-painting, and raffle items.
Our 5k run will start right before the walk and take you on a scenic 3.1 mile paved path of Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve.
Those wishing to participate but not in the area can register and walk or run on their own time, while dedicating their time and energy to a diabetes cure.
Together, our efforts will add up to many miles of support and awareness!
